Stallions' stars shine bright at PAVO Stallion Competition

PAVO Stallion competition

The third part of the PAVO Stallion competition took place in Gent during the Flanders Horse Expo. In the category for seven-year-olds, Karline De Brabander piloted our Lector van den Bisschop towards an excellent second place. Lector is a son of Bamako de Muze out of Cordula de Laubry (f. For Pleasure) and is therefore a half-brother to our stallion Fantomas de Muze (f. Sandro Boy). In the same class, Plato de Muze  (Plot Blue x Iphigeneia de Muze, f. Erco van ‘t Roosakker) grabbed the fourth place, ridden by Thomas De Wit.

A division lower, in the six-year-old class, the offspring of Elvis Ter Putte impressed once more. Not only was the second spot for Mithras de Regor, son of Elvis out of Centa de Muze (f. Cento) and then back to Qerly Chin, but two other progeny qualified for the jump-off. One of them was our own Mosito van ‘t Hellehof (mf. Nabab de Rêve), who was ridden by Karline De Brabander and landed in eight place with a nice double clear. The other one is called Moneymaker van ‘t Meulenhof (mf. Vigo d’Arsouilles) and jumped to fifteenth spot with Bernardo Mathias.

Same story in the category for stallions with the age of five, with Elvis Ter Putte offspring once again catching the eye due to clear rounds from Nono van de Withoeve and Nestor de Mariposa. Navajo van ‘t Vianahof (f. Vagabond de la Pomme) also seems on track to fill the footsteps of his already illustrious half-brother Inca Boy van ‘t Vianahof and delivered an excellent clear round with Walter Lelie.

Finally, in the youngest class, the offspring of our stallions did a fine job as well. No mistakes were noted for Iago des Peupliers (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles), O’Neill van ’t Eigenlo (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles), Oakley AEG (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles), Orleans van de Kruishoeve (f. Fantomas de Muze), Op en Top van de Moerhoeve (f. Marius Claudius) and Obama de la Linière (f. Marius Claudius).

At Sentower Park, our eight year old stallion El Torreo de Muze (f. Taran de la Pomme) did excellent and jumped clear in the 1.40m GP. He is ridden by the Brazilian rider Bernardo Alves.

Short clips of the stallions will appear on our Facebook-page during the week. If you can’t wait, please head over to our YouTube-channel.

International highlights

At the international scene, the aforementioned Inca Boy van ‘t Vianahof (f. Diamant de Semilly) showed his abilities with an excellent ninth place in the Gothenburg World Cup. At Equestrian Centre De Peelbergen (Kronenburg), Nabab de Revel triumphed with the German Lars Nieberg. At the same location, Gran Canyon van HD (f. Cartani), son of our top mare Candy, emerged victorious in a 1.45m-class. He was ridden by Bart Bles.

Hos d’O

Recently it came to known that one of our former stallions has been sold to the US and is now ridden by Wesley Newlands. We are of course talking about Hos d’O, who already grabbed a fifth place in a 1.45m-class with his new rider, while his daughter Gerdien van Oldenhoff (mf. Vaillant) landed in third place in a seven-year-old class in Vilamoura.

Zangersheide stallion approvals

Next weekend, the Zangersheide Studbook organizes its stallion approvals and our stallions are excellently represented. The more than 100 registered stallions feature for example offspring of Kasanova de la Pomme (1), Vigo d’Arsouilles (3), Elvis Ter Putte (2), London (ex-Carembar de Muze) (2), Denzel van ’t Meulenhof (1), Triomphe de Muze (1), I’m Special de Muze (1) and Nabab de Rêve (1).
