What a week for Figo de Muze

Figo de Muze, better known under his new name Golden Hawk, experienced an amazing last week of 2018. Figo descends from Vigo d’Arsouilles out of the famous mare Ta Belle van Sombeke, which makes him a half-brother of Glock’s London (ex-Carembar de Muze, f. Nabab de Rêve). Not only did Figo win the GP of Liverpool with Shane Breen, but his daughter Evita van ‘t Zoggehof was victorious in a 1.50m-class in Mechelen as well, ridden by Lorenzo De Luca. Evita is out of the mare Anais Anais de Muze and goes back to the famous Fragance de Chalus-damline.

More Mechelen

As usual, there were some more great achievements in Mechelen. In the five star classes, Zinius and Harrie Smolders (f. Nabab de Rêve) realized a second place over 1.45m, while Gilles Thomas and Konak (f. Nabab de Rêve) became fifth in another class at the same height.

Just Energie (f. Nabab de Rêve) and Vincent Lambrecht grabbed the victory in a 1.45m-class at the two star level. Frederic Bouvard and Hugh Grant de Muze (f. Shindler de Muze) became third in the same class. A silver medal was reserved for Niels Bruynseels and Karisto v/d Mishagen (f. Nabab de Rêve) in the Flemish Indoor Championship.

On the so-called “Breeding Day”, there was a win for our home-bred Plato de Muze Z (f. Plot Blue) and Arnaud Gaublomme in the class for seven-year-old stallions. Mosito van het Hellehof (f. Elvis Ter Putte) on his turn jumped a nice clear round in the class for six-year-old stallions, ridden by Karline De Brabander. They ended ninth eventually. In the free jump competition for two-year-old horses, Qerly van ‘t Klavertje Vier (f. El Torreo de Muze) became second, Qadira de Regor (f. Bamako de Muze) sixth, Qadira de la Drie (f. Kaiser van het Lambroeck) eighth and Qualando de Carmel (f. Mosito van het Hellehof) tenth.

Finally, in the classes for Junior riders, we noted a win and a fourth place for Max Sebrechts and Cacacha van het Schaeck (f. Bamako de Muze).

Al Ain

Equador van ‘t Roosakker (f. Nabab de Rêve) and French rider Frederic David became third in the world cup qualifier of Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates. Gladiator-P (f. Nabab de Rêve), ridden by Sara Hussein Saleh Al Armouti, added a third place in a 1.40m-class to conclude this week’s overview.
