At the Belgian championships for young horses in Gesves, Bamako de Muze produced the silver medallist in the 5-year-olds’ category in Ulliko du Boucher (Lente Dierickx). With Bamina Von Hary Z (François Xavier Manten), another Bamako offspring finished in the top ten. Thomas De Wit rode Ermette Z (s. Eames de Hus) to fifth place. The final also featured two offspring of Kasanova de la Pomme, namely Utah de Rase (Jordy Oostvogels) and Unlimited Edition JW de Muze (Roxanne Sonck). Vigo d'Arsouilles also contributed thanks to Ugo van de Ceulshaegen (Jordy Oostvogels) and Une Beauty Belle JW (Aurelia Guisson). Finally, U Shaniks Urbanus (s. Le Blue Diamond van 't Ruytershof, Niki Geenens) and Michi Star H Z (s. Mosito van het Hellehof, Jérome Hennau) also made it to the final.
In the 6-year-olds, Glenn Van Riet jumped to eleventh place in the saddle of Terdal van 't Veer (s. By Cera d'Ick). In the final, we also saw Virginie Thonon with Tresor van het Hellehof (s. Lector vd Bisschop), Frederick Wuytack with Thina DC (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) and Stef Bossaerts with Topic van d'Hoef (s. I'm Special de Muze).
Frederick Wuytack caught the eye in the 4-year-olds’ championship riding Ventoux JW van 't Meulenhof (s. Denzel van 't Meulenhof) with just a single time penalty in the second round of the final and on Vrai Bleu VDM (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) with only one fence down in that same final round. Louis Geysen and Verona van HD (s. Kasanova de la Pomme) also only had a time penalty in the final. Verona is a half-sister of our young stallion Victor van HD. Koen Verdegem and Viking van Egenhoven (s. Elvis Ter Putte) also showed up in the final.
Bonheiden
Koen jumped to fourth place in the GP2* riding Quinoa de la Linière (s. Mosito van het Hellehof). Kristien Peeters followed in sixth place on Quinesse DW (s. El Torreo de Muze). Felipe Coutinho Mendonca Nagata took second place in a 1.40m class with Monseigneur (s. Nabab de Rêve).
Deauville
At the CSI4* in Deauville, Nicola Philippaerts raced to fifth place in a 1.50m class on H&M Que Sera (s. By Cera d'Ick). Jérôme Guery and Qartouche de la Pomme d'Or (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) finished second in another 1.50m class, as did Victor Bettendorf with Doha de Riverland (s. Nabab de Rêve). François Xavier Boudant won at 1.40m level on Omani de Regor (s. Scendro).
Kronenberg
Ollister du Lys (s. Scendro) was the fastest in a ranking class in Kronenberg under Petronella Andersson. There was also a win in a 1.40m class for Porsche (s. Kasanova de la Pomme) with Yves Houtackers.
Ottawa
The GP2* in Ottawa yielded a third place for Delaney Flynn with Namamia (s. Fantomas de Muze) and a fourth place for Conor Swail with Qoreen van 't Ruytershof (s. Mosito van het Hellehof). The latter duo had previously also secured third place in a ranking class.
