Excellent results at Belgian Championships

Four-year-olds

Eight four-year-old horses managed to stay clear all the way and were thus named ex aequo champion. Among them the stallion Qrimson 'P' (s. Matisse de Mariposa) with Jordy Oostvogels.

Equally in the final were Morice F Z (s. Mosito van het Hellehof) ridden by Katrijn Van Hoecke, Que Sera JW van de Moerhoeve (s. Cera d'Ick) ridden by Frederik Wuytack, Quaresma van 't Paradijs (s. Bamako de Muze) ridden by Astrid Rooms, El Star van 't Ameldonk (s. El Torreo de Muze) ridden by Dries De Bock, Qarrasco vd Plataan (s. Taran de la Pomme) ridden by Matthias Meskens, Quelle D'or Du Marais Dd (s. Elvis Ter Putte) ridden by Dieter Laheyne, Qualithina van 't Ruytershof (s. Mosito van 't Hellehof) ridden by Ben De Craene and Tinkerbel du Maillet Z (s. Taran de la Pomme) ridden by Laurent Thirion.

Five-year-olds

Karmijn ES (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) and Jorich Spits just missed out on a podium spot in the Championships for five-year-olds. The duo finished in an, admittedly nice, fourth place thanks to four clear rounds. Thomas De Wit on Ice Twin Boy DW Z (s. I'm Special de Muze), Roy Van Beek on Fortune R Z (s. Fantomas de Muze) and Katrijn Van Hoecke on Looks Good de Liebri Z (s. Lector vd Bisschop) also reached the decisive jump-off, but four penalty points brought these combinations to places eleven, twelve and fourteen respectively.

Poppemieke JW van de Moerhoeve (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles, Frederik Wuytack), Pico-Belle van Twee Eiken (s. Denzel van 't Meulenhof, Dieter Laheyne), Pimpernel II van de Ceulshaegen (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Caroline Buyens), Pebbles van 't Hammelhof (s. I'm Special de Muze, Sam Van Steelandt), Packman De Rêve (s. Nabab de Rêve, Killian Norris) and I'm Fancy VDM Z (s. I'm Special de Muze, Lisa Bruggeman) were also present in the final.

Seniors

A sixth place was the great result for the only nine-year-old Cashpaid J&F (s. Casall) at the Belgian Championships for seniors. Ridden by Nathan Budd, he finished the championship with just one jumping fault over four rounds combined.

International

In the GP of Traverse City Beezie Madden jumped to third place with Chic Hin d'Hyrencourt (s. Taran de la Pomme), after the duo already finished fourth in an earlier 1.45m class.

There were also many excellent results in the various classes for young horses. For example, Nijinsky de Kalvarie (s. Elvis Ter Putte) jumped to fifth place in a class for six- and seven-year-olds in Aachen under Christian Ahlmann.

In Valkenswaard there were also nice placings for Nikita van het Geinsteinde (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Wilma Charlotte Hellström), Ipsthar (s. Denzel van 't Meulenhof, Bas Moering) and Jikke-Cara (s. Denzel van 't Meulenhof, Harrie Wiering) in the competition for six- and seven-year-olds.

Finally, horses and riders also competed in French Fontainebleau. Pedro Junqueira Muylaert on Ohara van Orti (s. Vigo d'Arsouilles) and Cian O'Connor on Je Maintiendrai (s. I'm Special de Muze) performed well in the classes for six-year-olds. Niara (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Karel Cox), Elvira de Bornival Z (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Guillaume Foutrier) and Nickel de la Roque (s. Elvis Ter Putte, Marie Hécart) jumped extraordinarily one age category higher.

National

We started this message with (a son of) Matisse de Mariposa and we will end with it. After all, Matisse won the Gold League GP in Kuringen with Bernardo Alves last weekend. Class!
