Young stallions excel in the STX Cyclus

STX Cyclus

Stal Hulsterlo welcomed a lot of horses and riders last weekend for the first leg of the STX Cyclus for young horses. Some of our young stallions were equally present there and they were quite successful.

In the class for five-year-olds, our promising stallions Negredo de Muze (f. Elvis ter Putte) and Navajo van ‘t Vianahof (f. Vagabond de la Pomme) continued their run of excellent performances, dating back to the finals of the PAVO stallion competition. With Karline De Brabander respectively Walter Lelie, they both managed a fine clear round.

Matisse de Mariposa (f. Diamant de Semilly) and Mosito van het Hellehof (f. Elvis ter Putte) matched the results of their peers and jumped both double clear. Once more, Walter Lelie and Karline De Brabander were the riders.

Lector vd Bisschop (f. Bamako de Muze) could make quite an impression as well, like he did in the stallion competition. With Karline De Brabander, he finished without any penalties.

A lot of our breeding products also performed excellently. Oilily de Muze (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, four-year-olds), Noblesse de Muze (f. Elvis ter Putte, five-year-olds), Neptune de Muze (f. Cadeau de Muze, five-year-olds), Next Funky de Muze (f. Elvis ter Putte, five-year-olds), Nen Toffe de Muze (f. Fantomas de Muze, five-year-olds), Very High de Muze (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles, six-year-olds), Music de Muze (f. Diamant de Semilly, six-year-olds), Next Flip de Muze Z (f. Nabab de Rêve, six-year-olds), Call Me de Muze Z (f. Clarissimo Z, six-year-olds), Favorita de Muze (f. Bamako de Muze, seven-year-olds) en Plato de Muze Z (f. Plot Blue, seven-year-olds) kept all poles up in their respective age categories.

Countless other offspring of our stallions also delivered some great performances, but it would lead us too far to sum them all up in the space of this article.

International highlights

Close to home, in Bonheiden, Killer Queen VDM (daughter of Derly Chin de Muze (f. For Pleasure) was victorious in the GP with Daniel Deusser. The two of them grabbed a second spot in a 1.45m-class earlier during the weekend as well. Furthermore, Just Energie (f. Nabab de Rêve) finished second in a class of the same height.

A bit younger are the six-year-olds, but they did equally great in Bonheiden. One or more placings were achieved by Napoleon of Picobello Z (f.

Next to Bonheiden, in Sint-Katelijne-Waver, Gilles Thomas rode his promising Nabab de Rêve progeny Konak to a fifth place in the GP (1.45m).

Also in Lanaken, at the Z-Tour, some horses caught our eye. Brunello di Fer (Bamako de Muze x Ferly de Muze) became eight in the GP with Hanne Mertens. Farfelu de la Pomme (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles) finished third in a 1.40m-class with Jos Verlooy.

Once again some young horses showed their class. Gotha de la Brasserie (f. I’m Special de Muze) and Christophe Vanderhasselt placed themselves twice in the classes for six-year-olds. The same counts for Polish rider Natalia Czernik and NC Verso Red Wine (f. Vigo d’Arsouilles). This duo grabbed a second and a fourth place.

In the Dutch city of Kronenberg, there was the pleasant introduction of Hello Zachary (ex-Markies van de Donkhoeve, f. Elvis ter Putte) with the British rider Scott Brash. Two times this duo was placed in the classes for six-year-olds. Furthermore, Lorenzo De Luca and Evita van ‘t Zoggehof (f. Golden Hawk, ex-Figo de Muze) became fourth in the 1.40m.

Barbizon is our next stop, where seven-year-old Le Coultre de Muze (f. Presley Boy) and Philippe Rozier became second. Once more a very promising performance from the grey stallion.

At the MET in Oliva, Stella Levista, sired by Satisfaction FRH triumphed in a 1.45m-class with Jonna Ekberg, while Taizo Sugitani rode Heroine de Muze (f. Tinka’s Boy) to a fourth place in the GP (1.50m).

Wrapping up this week’s overview at the WEF. Havana de la Lande (f. Nabab de Rêve) and Colombian rider Elisa Uribe Gutierrez won the last GP of this season, the GP2*.
